California Poppy Tincture

California Poppy (Eschscholzia californica) is an aid for those dealing with anxious feelings, troubles with sleeping, and discomfort. California Poppy soothes feelings of anxiety by binding to GABA receptors, and soothes the nervous system by binding to benzodiazepine receptors. Rest is encouraged for both body and mind, without worry of grogginess or habit forming dependency.

California Poppy also discourages feelings of melancholy and problems maintaining focus and attention. I personally still turn to California Poppy for grounding/soothing my nerves when repetitive worries or thoughts plague my day. I also find it useful for sciatica pain, both internally and topically (simply rubbing a few drops of tincture into my skin, topically).
