Butterfly Pea Flower Tincture
Butterfly Pea Flower is known to enhance memory, cognition and intelligence.
A tincture created from this beautiful, blue flower is used as a calmative /anxiolytic to reduce stress and anxiety, and also as an anti-depressant, anti-convulsant and anti-inflammatory.
Butterfly Pea flowers have been shown to contain anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, anti-pyretic, diuretic, and analgesic properties, as well as proving beneficial as a local anesthetic, insecticidal, anti-diabetic, vascular smooth muscle relaxer, and blood platelet aggregation inhibitor.
Butterfly pea flower helps to maintain healthy eyesight, due to the anti-oxidant proanthocyanidin which improves blood flow through the capillaries of the eyes. This improved circulation helps the eyes to adjust more quickly to changes in light and improves sharpness of vision.
Butterfly pea flower is effective in preventing cataracts and glaucoma, treating retinal damage, reducing watery eyes. and blurred vision, improving night vision, and soothing inflamed eyes.
Another traditional use for butterfly pea flower is to promote the growth of dark, lustrous, thick hair. The butterfly pea flower is able to combat hair loss and restore hair color, as it is rich in bioflavonoids (found in products that stimulate hair growth).
Butterfly pea flower revitalizes and nourishes not only hair, but also the skin. The anti-oxidants in butterfly pea flower increase the collagen and elasticity of the skin cells, therefore helping to reduce premature wrinkles and other signs of skin aging.
Traditionally, butterfly pea flower is considered an aphrodisiac for women. It is also used for problems associated with menstruation.
Personally, in my spiritual practice, I have found this tincture to be very relaxing and grounding when used for meditation purposes.
The plant material in this tincture is grown, harvested, dried, and prepared by me, personally-- all under the most beneficial moon phase.
As with all of my products, this tincture is created in small batches, in order to assure freshness and potency. Each batch is tested by me, before offering it to you. Each individual bottle is placed on my altar and charged with positive energy and intent before ever leaving my hands.
You will receive a 30 ml, dark colored glass bottle of tincture. I advise storing this in a cool, dark area. Following these suggestions, your tincture should be shelf stable for up to 3 years.
I am not a trained medical professional. I AM a trained herbalist, and I prepare and sample each batch of product before offering it to anyone else.
