This artisan creation is a unique blend of sweet with just a little kick! Just add hot water or your milk of choice to my Caliente Cocoa, stir, and sip. Anyone familiar with Mexican Hot Chocolate will find themselves reminiscing at first scent. This isn't your run-of-the-mill hot chocolate mix. The addition of spices and chilies add depth and dimension to the flavor.
For extra flair, try adding a dollop of regular or cinnamon whipped cream, a handful of marshmallows, a dusting of ground grated chocolate or cinnamon, or with a cinnamon stick as a swizzle. For adults, try adding peppermint schnapps or Kahlua for a decadent, rich treat.
I've created this mix by grinding cacao nibs, then adding freshly grated cinnamon, nutmeg, and dried chilies, grown in my own garden.
To achieve the most taste-full experience possible, serve in a clay or porcelain mug, and use an authentic molinillo to froth the mixture before enjoying (not necessary, but certainly recommended).
