Motherwort Tincture

Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca) is a member of the mint family, used especially for women’s health.

The many benefits of motherwort range from its effectiveness as a heart tonic to its calming properties.

Motherwort is an excellent herb to use for protection, especially for women and children. Planted around the home, or hanging above the doorway, it is said to keep away evil spirits and other unwelcome guests. Used in a Witch Bottle it can be used to protect from or reverse a curse.

It is associated with both Venus and the Moon, and is an excellent herb to use during a lunar ritual, or to honor Goddesses of fertility and motherhood.

Often used to support the female reproductive system, motherwort also has healing properties for both the physical and emotional heart.

Do not use products containing Motherwort if you are currently on blood thinners, certain heart medications, are pregnant or nursing, or have low blood pressure.

You will receive a 30 ml, dark colored glass bottle of tincture. I advise storing this in a cool, dark area. Following these suggestions, your tincture should be shelf stable for up to 3 years.

Keep away from children and pets. Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
